"...authored an innovative book and used mixed-modal research design to analyse and synthesize four new models of Strategic Management, pertaining to Strategic Leadership Behavior, Strategic Decision-making, Strategic Communication, and Strategic Stakeholder Management, by leveraging thematic cues and key learnings from the ten tales of Lord Vishnu's Dashavatar, from the popular scripture of Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran composed by Sage Ved Vyasji."
—Prof. Ramendra Singh, Indian Institute of Management (IIM Calcutta), Kolkata, India
"The concept of management, its philosophy, principles, and its different specializations have been researched and explored for developing, adopting, and practicing the best management approach for meeting challenges and successes of organizations in 21st century. The study of Strategic Management theories, principles, and concepts is common in the area of business and management but this book is having a distinction in linking it with Spiritual Philosophy, in the light of ancient Indian classical wisdom, with special reference to the popular legends of Shri Vishnu Dashavatara. This book has successfully articulated the significance and connect between the traditions of societies and cultures around the world... We are very grateful to Dr. Aparna for her sincere efforts and for contributing academic and research fraternity by making this book available."
—Prof. Rajnish Ratna, Gedu College of Business Studies, Royal University of Bhutan
Description:
This book is based on the philosophical investigation of a popular Sanskrit scripture Srīmad Bhāgavata Mahāpurāṇạ. It secures the interlinkages between Spirituality and Management, by focusing on connections between the management philosophies vis-à-vis theological philosophies. The core idea was to revisit the Strategic Management principles, theories, and concepts in the light of ancient Indian scriptures which are replete with managerial lessons and classical wisdom. This book will be useful to the general readers as well as aspiring professionals by orienting various strategies from Vishnu Dashavatar and allowing them in their real-life application derived from those legends. It is completely based on empirical research findings and hence is a valuable academic contribution to the management discipline too. This book is a self-help manual for all the people who are or wish to be in the strategic profiles of any organization. This book helps us revisit and rebuild the foundations of management philosophy and strategic management principles and theories.
