About the Author:
John Guttridge BSc (Hons) MRSC PGCE graduated in chemistry at the University of Surrey and completed his post-gradute studies at the University of Wales, Cardiff. He joined the Royal Society of Chemistry in 1978. He has more than 25 years' teaching, 16 years' public examining and over 15 years' experience as a Head of Department with responsibility for tutoring many teachers and newly qualified teachers in science.
