About the Authors:
Dr. Shreesh Bhardwaj (M.Sc., Ph.D., M.Ed., LLB, FICS) is a seasoned educationist and school administrator who has guided several generations of students to a successful career. He has organised numerous workshops, seminars and conferences for teachers and students on various topics related to education. An author of over 25 papers published in journals of international repute, Dr. Bhardwaj is a recipient of several prestigious awards and honours. He was formerly the principal at Birla Vidya Mandir, Nainital; director and principal at G.D. Goenka Public School, Faridabad, Haryana; and principal, Presidium, Faridabad. He has also served as the director and principal of Satyug Darshan Vidyalaya, Faridabad, Haryana.
Anil Sharma (M.Sc., M.Ed., M.Phil.) is a postgraduate in physics and has pursued his education from Delhi University and MD University, Rohtak with a distinguished career spanning three decades in Indian education. He has served as the former principal of Sanskriti School, Ajmer and Gyan Bharti School, Delhi, and as the deputy principal of The Lawrence School, Lovedale, Tamil Nadu. Presently, he is the principal of Birla Vidya Mandir, Nainital, which ranked among India’s top five all-boys boarding schools. He is also the secretary of Indian Public Schools’ Conference (IPSC).

Ajoy Ghatak has served as a Professor of Physics in IIT Delhi. He obtained his M.Sc. from the University of Delhi and Ph.D. from Cornell University. The awards he has received include the 2008 SPIE Educator Award, the 2003 Optical Society of America Esther Hoffman Beller Medal, the CSIR S.S. Bhatnagar Prize, the 16th Khwarizmi International Award, the International Commission for Optics Galileo Galilei Award and the Meghnad Saha Award for outstanding research contributions in theoretical sciences. He received a D.Sc. (Honoris Causa) from the University of Burdwan in 2007. Professor Ghatak has published numerous books in the areas of Optics, Quantum Mechanics and Fiber Optics and is a tireless promoter of science education worldwide.
