About the Editor-in-chief:
Vinod K Sharma MBBS, MD, FAMS is actively involved in the care of patients with Sexually Transmitted Diseases and AIDS for the last twenty- five years. He is currently Professor and Head, Department of Dermatology and Venereology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. Professor Sharma is a renowned teacher and researcher in the field of Dermatology and Venereology and a recipient of two Indian Council of Medical Research awards for his work in Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy. He received Dr. R V Rajam Oration by National Academy of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, in 2005. He was honoured with award of excellence and Dr. MA Wali Oration for 2007 by the Indian Association for the Study of Sexually Transmitted Diseases and AIDS. He was the National President of Indian Association for the Study of Sexually Transmitted Diseases and AIDS in years 2001-2002 and 2002-2003. He is also National President of Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologist and Leprologists for the year 2009. He has more than 200 research papers in national and international journals to his credit, many of them in the subject of Sexually Transmitted Diseases. He is the Chief Editor of books entitled Practical Guidelines for Management of Psoriasis and Handbook of Urticaria. He is on the editorial board of several national and international journals, and is a referee for many of them.
