About the Author:
Dr. David Moursund (http://darkwing.uoregon.edu/~moursund) has been teaching and writing in the field of information technology in education since 1963. He was an assistant professor and then an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics and in the Computing Center (Engineering) at Michigan State University from 1963 to 1967. He was an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics and the Computing Center at the University of Oregon from 1967 to 1969. He was the chairman of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oregon from 1969 to 1975. He is now a professor in the College of Education at the University of Oregon.
Dr. David Moursund has authored or coauthored more than 30 books and numerous articles on information technology in education. He has been the dissertation director and/or served on the dissertation committee of more than 75 doctoral student sin the field of computers in education. In addition, Dr. David Moursund served as editor-in-chief of Learning and Leading with Technology, the flagship publication for ISSTE, from 1974 to 2001.
Dr. David Moursund currently serves s the chair of the board for the Oregon Technology in Education Council, a nonprofit, grassroots professional organization. At the same time, he continues to work for the Teacher Education Unit in the College of Education at the University of Oregon.
