About the Author:
Prof G Ram Reddy Born on 4-12-1929 in Andhra Pradesh, Prof Reddy received his higher education in Osmania University and London School of Economics.He held many important positions which include Vice Chancellor of Osmania University, the founder Vice Chancellor of Andhra Pradesh Open University and Indira Gandhi National Open University, Vice-President of the COL and Chairman of University Grants Commission.He established, shaped and nurtured many institutions of higher learning, including two Open Universities, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council in India and the Commonwealth of Learning, Vancouver, Canada.
