About the Authors:
Dr Sadasiva Biswal did his M.Sc. (Physics) from Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, and Ph.D. from Utkal University, Vani Vihar, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. He has 35 years of teaching experience as a lecturer, reader and principal in undergraduate-level colleges of Odisha. He has produced 10 Ph.D.'s, published 68 research papers, written 20 books and penned more than 200 articles on popular science and environmental studies. Dr Biswal is presently engrossed in magnetohydrodynamics, electronics, porous media studies and vedic sciences. He has completed one Minor Research Project sponsored by the UGC, New Delhi. He is associated with many scientific societies and associations of India and abroad. Dr Biswal is on the editorial board of three research journals of India and in the research advisory board of the American Institute of Biological Sciences, USA.
Dr (Mrs) Manjusa Jena did her M.Sc., M.Phil., M.Ed. and Ph.D. from Utkal University, Vani Vihar, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. She has 16 years of teaching experience in Theoretical and Experimental Physics at the undergraduate level. She has published 12 peer-reviewed research papers in national and international journals of physics and is a reviewer of 5 reputed international journals. She has presented more than 15 research papers in national and international conferences and penned more than 20 popular science articles in different science magazines. She is a life member of 10 scientific societies and associations of India. Dr Jena is presently a faculty member at the Department of Physics, College of Basic Science and Humanities, Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT), Odisha. She continues her research work in magnetohydrodynamics, heat and mass transfer, porous media studies, rotational viscoelastic fluids, etc. Dr Jena was awarded for best research paper on MHD by the Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA), Bhubaneswar Chapter in 2015 and for the best technical paper on sustainable energy by the M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation on the occasion of the 7th Indian Youth Science Congress (IYSC) in 2016.
