About the Author:
Lisa Rezende, Ph.D., graduated from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York, and was a postdoctoral fellow in biochemistry at Harvard Medical School. Currently a freelance science writer living in Tucson, Arizona, she has been published in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Biological Chemistry and the Journal of Virology—on issues of DNA replication and human immunodeficiency virus drug resistance—and has contributed to the Web site supporting the textbook Molecular Cell Biology.
